2. What Personal Data Do We Collect and How?

Data you provide:

When you create a C-club account and/or when you communicate with us, we collect your first name, last name, email address.

When you buy something on C-club, we collect your payment details.


Data we automatically gather:  

When you access C-club, we collect IP address, device type, browser type, date and time of connection, general visitor behavior, discounts you browsed / saved / used, purchases you made.

​3. What Do We Use Your Personal Data For?
 

  • Market research and product development in particular the conducting of customer surveys. You can generally opt out of the corresponding service via an unsubscribe link
  • Complete certain tasks, processes or orders on C-club, receive payment online, deliver your products or vouchers
  • Respond to your questions
  • Relationship management and marketing purposes, for example in order to email you relevant C-club news. You can generally opt out of the corresponding service via an unsubscribe link included in the message
  • Measure customer satisfaction
  • Administer our site and for internal operations, including troubleshooting, data analysis, testing, research, statistical and survey purposes
  • Protect our rights or property (or the rights or property of others) and to enforce our rights and pursue available remedies; In some cases, we will need to use your personal data to fulfill a legal obligation (for example, if we receive a legitimate request from law enforcement agencies), and in other cases (such as the detection of fraud or ensuring the security of the site) we will rely on our legitimate interests as a business to use your data in this way

 

4. Who Do We Share Your Data With?

We do not share your data with the Discount Providers / Advertisers / Content Creators. However, when Discount Providers scan your C-club voucher, they will see your first + last name on their scanner screen for a few seconds. 

We may share your personal data with companies known as “contract processors” - if we use their services - such as Payment processors, Fraud prevention services, IT services (like hosting, cloud services, the delivery of e-mail newsletters, and data analysis and refinement). These companies are obligated to ensure data security.

There may be scenarios where we are subject to a legal obligation to disclose or share your personal data, such as with law enforcement agencies or public authorities in order to prevent or detect crime.


5. How Do We Disclose Personal Data Abroad?

We may require some of your data to be stored or processed outside of Europe. In such cases, we will ensure that we take steps necessary to protect your data as required by applicable laws.

For example, we may implement specific contract terms or we may rely on service providers who adhere to certain compliance programs overseas, or we may select service providers based in countries with strong local laws to protect your personal data.

We retain certain data for as long as you remain a C-club member, and in some cases we retain data also after you stop being a C-club member, for these reasons:

  • So you can use our Platform
  • To ensure that we don’t communicate with you if you have asked us not to
  • To provide you with a refund, if entitled
  • To better understand the traffic to our Platform so that we can provide all members with the best possible experience
  • To detect and prevent abuse of our Platform, illegal activities and breaches of our Terms of Service
  • To comply with applicable legal, tax or accounting requirements​

This means that the retention periods will vary according to the type of the data and the reason that we have the data in the first place.
